Lauren Giles
Lauren Giles is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who is passionate about helping adolescents, young adults, and adults experience emotional healing, spiritual renewal, and deeper connection in their relationships. With seven years of experience in both nonprofit and private-practice settings, Lauren brings a compassionate, grounded, and faith-informed approach to therapy.

Lauren specializes in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, attachment wounds, and relational challenges. She integrates evidence-based modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and trauma-informed practices—while honoring the unique spiritual lens each client brings into the room. Lauren also values the power of traditional talk therapy, recognizing how meaningful conversation, reflection, and connection can support emotional processing and internal growth.

For clients who desire a faith-based perspective, Lauren incorporates biblical principles, prayerful reflection, and identity-in-Christ work to support heart-level healing and transformation. She believes that true and lasting healing happens when emotional insight, therapeutic tools, and spiritual truth work together. Her approach is warm, relational, and deeply attuned—creating a safe space where clients can explore their inner world, process past wounds, and connect with the hope, strength, and purpose that God has placed within them.

Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and her Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively in nonprofit organizations, serving diverse populations and supporting individuals through seasons of crisis, transition, and emotional distress. Her experiences in both community and clinical settings allow her to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals.

When she is not seeing clients, Lauren enjoys movement-based wellness, long walks with her two dogs—a Dachshund mix and a Goldendoodle—and spending time outdoors. She is also passionate about deepening her spiritual life through Scripture, staying connected to her church community, and spending meaningful time with family and friends.
Lauren offers virtual therapy and is currently accepting new clients.
