Amanda Frederick

 Amanda Frederick McDonnell is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)  and Registered Play Therapist (RPT). Amanda is a proud graduate of Southern Methodist University twice over, earning both her undergraduate degree (Psychology and Journalism) and her Master of Science degree in Counseling from SMU's Counseling Program in 2014. We are pleased to have had Amanda with Dallas Integrative Counseling since 2016.

While finishing her graduate degree in professional counseling, Amanda completed her internship at the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center specializing in Play Therapy and Activity Therapy. Amanda has spent the last several years working with children, adolescents and families both on an inpatient and outpatient basis at a mental health facility in Dallas.

In addition to her work with children and teens, Amanda specializes in working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma with individuals of all ages.  Amanda is professionally trained in the use of HRV biofeedback and Amanda has extensive experience working with adolescents in academic and educational settings.  Amanda currently serves as a school counselor at the Greenhill School in Addison, TX. Amanda accepts clients on a case-by-case basis and by request only.
